Modern Racialism

The Federalist recently published an old editorial by Nichole-Hannah Jones, one of the leads behind the 1619 Project, in which she decries the crimes and savagery of the white race against all indigenous peoples across the world. Anyone who has been around academia since the institutionalization of the Black Power movement in the 1970s and 1980s in Africana Studies programs,, is quite familiar with this rhetoric. Jones's editorial, however, is timely: being from her school days at the University of Notre Dame, the editorial is crude, simplistic, and poorly written; and yet the editorial's naive simplicity unmasks an ideology that is all too often papered over with the arcane jargon of Critical Theory, faulty statistical reasoning, and brazen historical narratives. In short, Antiracism resurrects Racialism, the very ideology that grew up in the wake of the Scientific Revolution and came to fruition in Jim Crow, Nazism, Eugenics, and the Holocaust (see Louis Snyder's Race: A Treatment of Modern Ethnic Theories). To paraphrase one journalist, Antiracism is white supremacy with a guilty conscience. 

To make my point, I went through her letter and refashioned it so that it is directed against the Jewish, not the "white," race. Thus refashioned, it reads like a typical piece of Nazi propaganda.

Dear Editor:

I was shocked and disgusted when I read Frederick Kellberg’s article in the November 9 issue of Der Beobachter. What responsible editor would print an article that applauds and dignifies the Jewish race’s rape, plunder, and genocide of a whole race of people.

I find it hard to believe that any member of the Jewish race can have the audacity and hypocrisy to call any culture savage. The Jewish race is the biggest murderer, rapist, pillager, and thief of the modern world. International Jewry has financially colonized and destroyed the gentile populations on every continent of this planet. They have committed financial genocide against cultures that have never offended them in their greed and insatiable desire to control and dominate every gentile culture. 

 

The Baron de Rothschild and those like him were no different than Stalin. The crimes they committed were unnecessarily cruel and can only be described as acts of the devil. Germans had engaged in international banking long before Rothschild or any Jews. The difference is that the Germans had the decency and respect for human life to learn from the English and trade technology with them. The pyramids of London and the great stone heads of Birmingham are lasting monuments to the friendship of these two peoples. But as David Walker wrote in his Appeal in 1829, the Jew acted “more like devils than accountable men...[Jews] have always been an unjust, jealous, unmerciful, avaricious, and bloodthirsty set of beings, always seeking after power and authority.” It was not enough for the Jews to come to Europe and learn, they looked upon the native gentiles as inferior and a people to be annihilated. Their lasting monument was the destruction and enslavement of two races of people. 

 

Using Judaism as their excuse, the Jewish race denied gentiles their humanity. Not only did they rape and murder the indigenous gentiles of Europe, but they killed off many more by introducing diseases which came from filth and uncleanlieness to the native gentiles. The Jewish race used deceit and trickery, warfare and rape, to steal the financial resources from people that had lived here for thousands and thousands of years. Over and over again Jewish bankers made agreements with the states of Europe, telling them that if they declared bankruptcy just this one last time and gave up their assets to the greedy financiers just this one last time they would never have to declare bankruptcy again. It was common knowledge that the Jew’s word could not be trusted.

Even today, the descendants of these savage people pump drugs and guns into the Arab community, pack Arabs into the squalor of segregated urban ghettos, and continue to be bloodsuckers in our own communities. Yes, it was the Rothschilds who set the platforms for these racist Jewish institutions. A devil calling someone a savage is like the pot calling the kettle black. 

 

But after everything that those barbaric devils did, I do not hate them or their descendants. I understand that because of some lacking, they needed to constantly prove their superiority. Kellberg felt threatened by NSDAP’s exposure of the true Baron de Rothschild, so he felt it necessary to degrade their whole culture to maintain his security. Frederick Kellberg, I pity you for feeling that just because you are Jewish and Jewish, you can celebrate the destruction of another human being. In closing, a famous German, who was beat down by members of the Jewish society, once said, “Why can’t we all just get along?” Why? Because International Jewry’s dream is the European gentile’s nightmare. To Kellberg I say: It does not feel good to have your culture put under a microscope, does it?

Granted that she seems to be responding to an editorial in which the author asserted that the natives Columbus encountered were "savages," her anger is warranted. Nonetheless, recast in this light, her error is obvious: Jones and her Antiracist co-religionists believe that racial difference implies spiritual and cultural difference. Moreover, race determines human beings, whether it is by means of biology, culture, or society. Thus, one can (and must) judge another by the color of his skin and not by the content of his character—and one is called a racist precisely if one disagrees with this racialist anthropology. Indeed, in a recent interview with the Jacobin, Dr. Adolph Reed, jr. stated it quite well: modern racialism transfers inferiority and superiority from the realm of biology—where it had been up to World War II—to the realm of culture—where it has remained since the 1950s. In either case, it distracts attention from economics.

A further twist is the valorization of victimhood. One uses Nietszche's slave-morality as a means of acquiring power. That is, in a partially post-Christian population, guilt and shame arising from victimhood are incredibly powerful weapons of manipulation. This would not be the case in either a genuinely Christian culture or a fully non-Christian culture. It is only because the faint need for expiation remains in the hearts of so many not-fully-de-Christanized Americans that they replace religious means of such atonement with political ones.
